ProStores, an eBay company, allows small- and medium-sized businesses to create a professional online e-commerce store, customized with their own branding and domain name. ProStores became an eBay company in November 2004, followed by eBay’s acquisition of Kurant’s StoreSense technology in January 2005.

Global Head of eBay Onsite Advertising

Tanguy Peers is Head of eBay Onsite Advertising, where he is responsible for setting the global advertising strategy.

He started his career with Morgan Stanley in the investment banking department, where he was in charge of the solicitation and execution of M&A assignments. In 1999 he co-founded a B2B marketplace for the European construction industry.

He joined eBay in 2003 and has been leading the Global Advertising team since 2007.

Peers holds a MBA of INSEAD (France), an MS in Finance from Boston College (USA) and a BA in Economics from the University of Louvain (Belgium).

Alexis van de Wyer
Director, Advertising & ProStores

Alexis van de Wyer is Director of Advertising & ProStores, where he holds global responsibility for launching and developing AdCommerce, eBay's new text advertising solution. He is also responsible for managing ProStores' growth within the eBay Inc. portfolio.

He started his career in the Telecom and Finance industries, where he was in charge of developing and launching e-commerce and mobile commerce solutions.

He joined eBay in 2005 where he was first in charge of the Product and then the Marketplace teams in Belgium. He joined the Global Advertising team in 2008.

Van de Wyer holds a MBA of INSEAD (France/Singapore), an MS in Applied Economics and a MS in Engineering of University of Louvain (Belgium).

The ProStores product is based on StoreSense, an award-winning e-commerce software originally created by Kurant in 1998. eBay acquired the technology assets of Kurant, including the StoreSense product, in January 2005.
