SAN JOSE, CALIF., Nov. 9, 2006 – Online shopping sites are becoming easier to manage for merchants with the latest upgrade from ProStores, an eBay Company that enables small- and medium-sized businesses to create professional online stores. The latest ProStores 7.2 upgrade increases the effectiveness of the way that ProStores integrates with sites such as Shopping.com and Google. For ProStores merchants who list their products on Shopping.com, the new upgrade now automatically maps those products to Shopping.com categories. Previously, store owners manually matched products with their corresponding categories. Additionally, ProStores 7.2 upgrades the feed to Google Base and Froogle to comply fully with the new Google Base standards. “These upgrades will ensure that ProStores merchants remain ahead of the curve as they use ProStores to manage multiple online channels and get their products in front of as many buyers as possible,” said Julian Green, director of ProStores. “ProStores merchants gain greater access to shopping comparison sites with more sophisticated listing capabilities with this most recent ProStores version.” This is the fifth upgrade for ProStores since it was launched in June 2005 and reflects ProStores’ continuing commitment to provide new levels of technology, flexibility and features for online merchants.
