SAN JOSE, CALIF., Sept. 12, 2006 – ProStores, an eBay Company, today announced ProStores Director Julian Green will speak at the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) Annual Conference on Sept. 14 in Houston. Green will present the session “E-commerce – Fundamentals of building a Web-based business,” which will educate small-business advisors about how to help small companies use the Internet to build successful businesses. Green will demonstrate how e-commerce can be used as a primary or complementary sales channel to extend business to a national and international audience. “E-commerce technologies that once needed to be supported by an IT staff now can be managed easily by a business owner,” Green said. “It’s important to help business advisors, like SDBC professionals, understand the current e-commerce landscape and tools available to help merchants be successful selling online.” Two sessions will be presented, the first at 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and again from 4:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. The conference will be held Sept. 12-15 at the Hilton Americas-Houston. The ASDBC conference is an annual professional development event for Small Business Development Center (SBDC) resources. The ASBDC represents the nation’s 63 congressionally authorized state and regional SBDC programs, which constitutes more than 1,000 service centers nationwide.
